Tour itinerary
Day 1 Vancouver
Once your enlightened tour has come to an end, your Tour Manager will arrange a transfer to the cruise terminal in Vancouver to begin your extension. On arrival, you can board the Celebrity Century cruise ship and settle into your Deluxe Balcony Stateroom, which will be spacious, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Your private balcony is ideal for watching the Canadian and Alaskan scenery pass by.

Day 2 Inside Passage
Today you’ll sail through the crystal blue waters of the Inside Passage towards Alaska, passing stunning white-turquoise glaciers and green forests. Watch out for swooping bald eagles and hundreds of species of sea creatures which flock to the region each summer, including sea-lions and humpback whales.

Day 3 Icy Strait Point
On your first chance to explore, you can choose from a range of optional shore excursions, including a visit to Alaska’s largest Tlingit village, Icy Strait Point, which is rich in history and culture.

Day 4 Hubbard Glacier
The views of the largest tidewater glacier on the North American continent are breathtaking, and the eerie sound of the glacier creaking adds to the drama. Watch for large chunks of ice falling into the bay with a crash, known as ‘White Thunder’ by the Tlingit people. As you cruise through Yakutat Bay, you may see sea creatures and birds resting on the smaller icebergs.

Day 5 Juneau
Today you’ll arrive in Juneau to explore the city, which is a combination of cosmopolitan chic and frontier ruggedness. If you visit the State Museum, you’ll find a full size bald eagle nesting tree, Gold Rush relics and a wealth of exhibits showcasing the history and cultures of the native people.

Day 6 Ketchikan
There are plenty of ideas and optional activities for your day in Ketchikan. Choose one of the walking routes to see the scenery up close, soak up the atmosphere and learn about the region’s culture. Visit the fascinating Saxman Native Totem Village to see the world’s largest collection of standing totem poles; some over 100 years old, and hear stories from the native carvers. Or charter a seaplane over Misty Fjords National Monument; a thrilling way to see the awe-inspiring scenery.

Day 7 Inside Passage
On your last day on board, relax and enjoy the views as you cruise southwards, back through the Inside Passage.

Day 8 Depart Vancouver
After dropping anchor in Vancouver, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Heathrow.
