Rainforest Lodge, Peru
Day 1
Fly from Cusco directly into the Amazon rainforest then transfer by boat to the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica lodge. Stay fo r3 nights on a full board basis.
Days 2-3
Experience the rainforest with a variety of excursions with plenty of time to relax in peaceful natural surroundings at the lodge.
Day 4
Return to Puerto Maldonado and fly to Lima. Overnight at the Miraflores Park hotel.
Day 5
Day at leisure before an afternoon transfer to the airport for a flight to London via Madrid.
Day 6

Amazon Cruise – Delfin I
Day 1
Fly from Cusco to Iquitos via Lima. Transfer to the Delfin I to begin a 4 night cruise in a

master suite. The Delfin I offers a new standard of luxury in Amazon river cruises and the chance to visit untouched parts of the rainforest, unreachable by land.
Days 2-4
Spend your days cruising the Amazon in style, with excursions and activities included to see the upper reaches of the Amazon River including the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, one of the most intact areas of primary rainforest in the Amazon basin.
Day 5
After a final morning excursion, arrive back in Iquitos for a flight to Lima. 1 night Miraflores Park hotel.

Day One - Departure from London Heathrow
Overnight flight on LAN Airlines from London Heathrow to Lima via Madrid. Before you fly, you’ll meet up with your Journeys of Distinction Tour Manager and relax in the executive lounge.

Day Two - Lima
Transfer to the Miraflores Park hotel, part of the Orient-Express group, for your two night stay. This evening we meet for drinks.

Day Three - Lima
Morning tour of Lima including the Cathedral, San Francisco Monastery and Casa de Aliaga. Cooking demonstration and lunch.

Morning flight to the white city of Arequipa. Visit the Santa Catalina convent, the Catholic University and the Juanita mummy. Enjoy a two night stay at the Libertador Ciudad Blanca.

Day Five - Arequipa

Day Eight - Colca Canyon - Puno
Journey into the high Andean plateau towards Puno, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Stay at the Libertador Isla Esteves, for two nights.

Day Nine - Puno
Boat trip across Lake Titicaca to Taquile Island with its beautiful views. Enjoy lunch at a small farm.

Day Eleven - Cusco
In Cusco, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit Sacsayhuaman, San Blas, the Koricancha Inca Temple of the Sun, Santo Domingo monastery and the Cathedral. The June 2011 departure differs to allow us to celebrate the Festival of the Sun.

Day Twelve – Cusco - Sacred Valley
Travel to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, with its ancient ruins, little towns and dramatic mountain slopes, before continuing to Sol y Luna for two nights.
