Day 1 Depart HeathrowDepart Heathrow this morning for your flight to Costa Rica via Madrid, where you’ll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.Meals: In-flight Hotel: Rincón del Valle
Day 2 San Jose to TortugueroAfter breakfast at a colourful local restaurant, you’ll transfer to Cano Port for a fascinating boat journey to Tortuguero, 57 miles north of Puerto Limon. You’ll be served lunch at the lodge, before a tour of Tortuguero village. In the evening, meet back up with your fellow travellers for dinner.Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, DinnerHotel: Pachira Lodge
Day 3 TortugueroAn early start means you’ll see the Tortuguero canals as they come to life with the dawn, on a morning boat tour. As you cruise through the Tortuguero National Park, your guide will be able to tell you all about the diverse and wonderful wildlife, including green turtles, which nest here every year. Day 4 Tortuguero to ArenalThis morning you’ll transfer to the Cano Blanco pier, then head on to Arenal by boat, through magnificent scenery, stopping for lunch along the way at a local restaurant. You’ll arrive early evening and settle into your hotel.Meals: Breakfast, LunchHotel: Los Lagos
Day 5 ArenalPrepare for a thrilling adventure this morning, on a trip to the Arenal Hanging Bridges. You’ll be able to walk right into the heart of the rain forest canopy on high bridges, along stunning trails that bring you up close to the flowers and vegetation, following the flight paths of the many birds that migrate between North and South America. Day 6 Arenal to Manuel AntonioAfter breakfast, you’ll transfer to Manuel Antonio, where you can spend the afternoon exploring, relaxing or simply watching the world go by.Meals: BreakfastHotel: Parador
Day 7 Manuel AntonioToday, a tour of Manuel Antonio National Park will show you the most incredible scenery and wildlife Costa Rica has to offer. Watch out for white-faced capuchin monkeys, raccoons and colourful birds as you follow natural trails through the park.
