Where is Chile?
This long thin country has one of the world’s longest coastlines, and is flanked by the Pacific Ocean on the west coast and the Andes chain on the east of the country. To the north Chile shares a border with Peru and Bolivia and one of the world’s longest borders with Argentina to the east.

Chilean Cuisine
Due to its proximity to the ocean, Chile is notable for its excellent fish and seafood dishes. The lakes and rivers of the south also provide excellent freshwater fish such as trout. Food influences are very European, with meat dishes and pasta, regularly enjoyed with excellent Chilean wine of course. A popular snack is the empanada, a bit like a Cornish pasty, which is handy to eat when on the go!
