Finally, we head to your spectacular watering hole for the next two nights, beautiful Lake Powell. Your hotel has an enviable location, overlooking the Waheap Marina on the south eastern side of Lake Powell. 2000 miles of shoreland spanning from Arizona to Utah was created when the Glen Canyon Dam was put in place to hold back the Colorado River. An interesting fact: America’s second largest man made lake took 17 years to reach its high water mark!

Destination introduction

There are many different Americas, but none of them beats California. It’s sunny, crazy, friendly, exotic – with the most spectacular coastline. And just a drive away from the razzle-dazzle of Las Vegas, then – in vivid contrast – the glorious National Parks. This is one experience you owe yourself.

Did You Know? Castroville is known as the Artichoke Capital of the World. In 1947 a young woman named Norma Jean was crowned Castroville's first Artichoke Queen. She went on to become actress Marilyn Monroe.
