Day 2 Milan to VeronaThis morning you’ll transfer to your elegant and sophisticated hotel in the centre of historic Verona, in the Veneto region of Italy. You’ll have a bit of time to wander the main street to the cafÃ©s and shops of stylish Piazza BrÃ before your afternoon tour of the city, which starts at the famous Roman Arena. This impressive amphitheature was built in the 1st century AD and is one of the best preserved in Italy. Seating 25,000, it’s still used as a theatre during the opera season. Day 4 Verona via Lake Garda to Lake ComoAfter transferring to Lake Garda, your local guide will take you to visit Sirmione Castle or ‘Rocca Scaligera’, with its battlemented walls and Roman sculptures. Day 5 Lake ComoYou have a free day today to explore the attractive lakeside town of Como, at the southern tip of Lake Como. Day 6 Lake Como to Lake MaggioreThis morning you’ll head to Lake Maggiore and embark on an action-packed tour. You’ll cruise the lake, visit Isola Madre, which is entirely covered by beautiful botanical gardens, visit the palace and the Isola Bella’s gardens and visit the romantic Isola dei Pescatori for lunch. Returning to the shore, you’ll continue on to the town of Stresa, for magnificent views across the islands and the distant Alps from the picturesque promenade, before arriving at the lakeside village of Baveno for the night.Meals: Breakfast, LunchHotel: Simplon
