Day 1 Depart Heathrow
From Heathrow, you’ll fly direct to Milan and transfer to your hotel, then you’re free to spend the afternoon getting a feel for the city.

Day 2 Milan to Verona
This morning you’ll transfer to your elegant and sophisticated hotel in the centre of historic Verona, in the Veneto region of Italy. You’ll have a bit of time to wander the main street to the cafés and shops of stylish Piazza Brà before your afternoon tour of the city, which starts at the famous Roman Arena. This impressive amphitheature was built in the 1st century AD and is one of the best preserved in Italy. Seating 25,000, it’s still used as a theatre during the opera season. You’ll see other Roman monuments, such as the Ponte di Pietra, and visit Via Cappello with its famous balcony and statue of Romeo’s Juliet.

Day 3 Verona
Today you’re free to explore Verona at your own pace and soak up the history of this beautiful city.

Day 4 Verona via Lake Garda to Lake Como
After transferring to Lake Garda, your local guide will take you to visit Sirmione Castle or ‘Rocca Scaligera’, with its battlemented walls and Roman sculptures. Then, after a visit to Garda island and the Mermaid bay, you’ll tour the archaeological site of Grottoes of Catullus, an ancient and grandiose Roman Villa within striking natural surroundings, before arriving at your hotel on the shores of Lake Como late afternoon.

Day 5 Lake Como
You have a free day today to explore the attractive lakeside town of Como, at the southern tip of Lake Como. We’d recommend visiting the 14th century Duomo of the ancient Romanesque church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the silk factory, the 18th century neoclassic Villa Olmo, or taking a cruise on the lake.

Day 6 Lake Como to Lake Maggiore
This morning you’ll head to Lake Maggiore and embark on an action-packed tour. You’ll cruise the lake, visit Isola Madre, which is entirely covered by beautiful botanical gardens, visit the palace and the Isola Bella’s gardens and visit the romantic Isola dei Pescatori for lunch. Returning to the shore, you’ll continue on to the town of Stresa, for magnificent views across the islands and the distant Alps from the picturesque promenade, before arriving at the lakeside village of Baveno for the night.

Day 7 Lake Maggiore
Today is a free day to relax at the hotel or explore the lake shore and take in the beautiful scenery. Perhaps take a wander to Baveno's picturesque village centre and sample one of the stylish restaurants or cafés.

Day 8 Milan
Heading back to Milan, you have the day and evening to explore, sightsee and shop.
