Visit Cuba and get away from the trappings of commercialisation and where simple pleasures are enjoyed to their utmost. Havana retains a classic, crumbling elegance with a bustling old town which is a UNESCO world heritage site and a lively culture, take in a salsa show or a cocktail at one of Hemmingway’s haunts. The west around Viňales is a step back in time, a landscape of steamy tobacco fields and green limestone hills called ‘mogotes’ where time stands still. And head to the beaches of the south and the atmospheric, untouched and beautiful colonial town of Trindad. Cuba is a place different in every sense from the modern world – go no before it changes.

Where is Cuba
Cuba is one of the largest islands in the Caribbean Sea, with a long coastline and beautiful beaches as well as a hilly and green interior with picturesque towns and villages. This island is just 90 miles from the tip of Florida and enjoys a tropical climate.
Cuban cuisine
Cuba is a developing nation and due to the long trade embargo with the USA it does not have a great variety or style in its cuisine. You will be served heart fresh food grown locally, with favourites being pork dishes with rice or potatoes and fresh vegetables, pasta is also popular and of course fresh tropical fruit. Perhaps Cuba’s greatest export (apart from cigars) is rum, and Cuba is the home of the cocktail. Daiquiris come from Cuba and there is perhaps no better feeling than relaxing with an ice cold mojito on the beach or a terrace bar.
