Mark Crosby, JOD Product Manager, says: "We have included a night on Lake Kawaguchi to offer a few days in the attractive countryside surrounding Mount Fuji and a stay in a hotel with Japanese rooms and hot spring baths. This is a popular weekend retreat for the locals."

Contrasts of Japan 2012

Escorted Tours Japan

Luxury Japan Escorted Tour - 12 Days

In a nutshell: Gentle, welcoming, traditional.
Great For: Bullet train, gardens, nature and an appreciation of both the ancient and modern cultures.
We Say: Fascinating and zen-like. Japan’s unique identity contrasts even with its Asian neighbours and is perfect for seeing the country’s cultural icons and experiencing something new.
