Where is Peru?
Peru is located on the west coast of South America; it nestles in-between Ecuador and Columbia to the North, Brazil and Bolivia to the East and Chile to the South. To the West of Peru is the vast Pacific Ocean. Peru features a great variety of terrain – the tropical Amazon rainforest, the high plains and peak of the Andes, canyons and valleys of the South and the flat desert-like coastal plain.
Peru Cuisine
Peruvian cuisine is becoming increasingly popular and is extremely diverse due to the varied climate and geology. Dishes range from fresh seafood dishes such as ceviche, to succulent alpaca steaks and encompass a huge variety of native potatoes, fresh vegetables and exotic fruits only available in South America. These can be washed down with excellent local beers and the refreshing national cocktail, the pisco sour.
